Yo! I’ve used the Surf Hut numerous times over the past 6 years, way back when it looked more like a hut! I remember once my buddy Brad and I needed to buy a board on a big day on the North Shore, but we hadn’t much money! He had just opened, on a rainy morning, and sold us a great board for cheap! And threw in a set of used fins and a leash! We went on to have such a perfect day at Sunset Beach! Thanks Kimo! Since then, Brad has moved back to Long Beach, but I hit up the new “hut” for fins and wax all the time. I also got a nice yellow/orange Shin shortboard that I ripped up for a few months before busting the nose! It now doubles as a handrail on a staircase, but I can’t wait to bring it back out this Winter when Kailua secret spots start pounding! thanks Kimo for years of great service and knowledge! -Palapu surfer

Just a quick note on what a laid back pleasure its been to do business with Kimo. Great deals with lots of ‘Aloha’ thrown in! Looking forward to my next trip down from the Great White North – first stop will be back to the Surf Hut for our new boards!

Aloha Kimo,
Brother it was awesome catching up yesterday and ecstatic that I’ll be riding one of your boards in the warm waters at Barbers. I’m heading out on a short trip early April and would love to see some of your sticks to bring back with me.
I’m looking at a 10′ nose rider that hugs the inside. Something that I can play around with when the surf is really small or big. Colors would be ideal if it specks the islands. So lets talk and see what you have…
Again it was a blast talking to ya and mahalo that you remembered me….
mahalo my good friend,
